At KensCoolCards, we’ve always been about finding the grails—whether it’s rare baseball rookies or graded memorabilia. Now, we’re branching into a new frontier: One Piece Trading Card Game (TCG).

This isn’t about playing the game. It’s about collecting and investing. One Piece has a massive international fan base, iconic characters that don’t retire, and a growing collector market that feels more stable than sports cards. That’s why we’re stepping in—not with a flood, but with a test run.

💰 Our Experiment: Investing & Selling a Few Cards

We’ve started by picking up a handful of graded chase cards and sealed booster boxes. These aren’t random buys—they’re carefully chosen to test how the One Piece market performs over the next 9 months.

Here’s the rule we’re sticking to:

• +20% gain: We buy more and invest more aggressively.
• –15% loss: We stop. Cold.
• Anything in between: We evaluate and decide what comes next.

🏦 Grading Strategy: Beckett & CGC Over PSA

Grading is where collectors turn cardboard into assets, but let’s be clear: we’re not supporting PSA for One Piece.

• Beckett (BGS): Our primary grading choice. Beckett’s Black Label (perfect 10s across all subgrades) is highly sought after in the One Piece TCG community. A Black Label Manga Rare or Alt Art commands serious premiums, often outpacing PSA 10s by a wide margin.
• CGC: While newer to the TCG grading scene, CGC slabs carry real value in One Piece. Collectors respect their consistency, and CGC 10s are gaining traction.
• PSA: Sure, PSA 10s sell—but we’re not chasing a few extra bucks at the cost of supporting a grading company we don’t believe in. Our philosophy is collector-first, and we’ll sacrifice short-term gains to align with that.

This approach keeps KensCoolCards aligned with our values: quality, transparency, and respect for collectors.
